How do I . . .

Create a high hat choke?
  • Assign the open high hat sample's 'exclusive' parameter to a value (1-8).
  • Assign the high hat pedal sample's 'excl off' parameter to the same value.
  • Adjust the high hat pedal 'release time' parameter to taste. (0=immediately)
Preview samples
  • Sample editor: Double-click on a sample name.
  • Sample browser: Right-click on a sample.

  • Rename savihost.exe to drumstar.exe.

Sampler

What types of samples does DrumStar support?

DrumStar supports most standard .wav formats.

How many samples can be used in a track?

Good question, I've got some instruments that have 1400+ samples, and DrumStar shows no signs of slowing down.

Sequencer

Why is there a delay before I hear changes in my pattern?

DrumStar streams the samples from disk a bit before they are needed. This allows for more complex instrument mappings, but you won't hear changes immediately.

Sales

How are sales handled?

Sales are handled through share*it.

Copy Protection

What type of copy protection is used?

DrumStar uses a keyfile which will be emailed to you upon purchase.
